Omega - Genève - Ohne mindestpreis - 166.070 - Herren - 1960-1969

Omega - Genève Automatic - Cal. 565 - Ref. 166.070 - Men - 1969-1970 On offer is a beautiful, highly collectible vintage Omega Genève Automatic wristwatch from the late 1960s / early 1970s. This timepiece features a stunning silver sunburst dial with applied baton indices and the iconic "pump-action" quickset date mechanism powered by the legendary Caliber 565. A fantastic, honest daily vintage wearer or addition to any Omega collection. Specifications: Brand: Omega Model: Genève Automatic Reference Number: 166.070 Movement: Automatic, Omega Caliber 565 (24 Jewels, quickset date) Case Material: Stainless Steel Case Diameter: 35 mm (excluding crown) Dial: Original silver sunburst dial with tritium hands and plots (T SWISS MADE T) Glass: Hesalite/Acrylic crystal (Original with Omega logo etched in the center) Band: Quality black leather band featuring a genuine, period-correct vintage stainless steel Omega-signed pin buckle (see photo with inside of buckle showing the Omega sun logo hallmark). Condition: Movement: Running accurately and keeping good time. The unique "push-pull" quickset date mechanism functions exactly as it should. (Operation: Pull to Position 1: Gently pull the crown out to the first click. This is the time-setting position where you can turn the hands. Pull to Position 2 (The Pump): Pull the crown firmly outward a bit further against spring resistance, then let go. You will feel a distinct click, and the date indicator in the window will immediately jump forward by one day. Repeat: Allow the crown to spring back naturally, then pull it out again to advance the date by another day. Repeat this pumping action until you reach the correct date.) Dial & Hands: Excellent vintage condition. Pristine dial face with a gorgeous, warm golden-brown patina on the tritium lume plots. Case: Good vintage condition with honest, light surface marks consistent with age. Sharp case lines, not over-polished. Crystal: The crystal is original, featuring the stamped Omega logo directly over the center pinion. There is internal structural cracking/damage inside the acrylic between the 6 and 7 o'clock positions; this is strictly internal and does not affect the smooth outer surface. There is also a light surface scratch near the 4 o'clock position (please see photos for detailed close-ups). Please review the photos carefully as they form an integral part of the condition description. Insured shipping with track and trace.
