This is a rice paper painting exported to Europe during the reign of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty in ancient China. It's a hand-painted work with exquisite and lifelike detail. The painting depicts a family of a Qing Dynasty official. In ancient China, it was possible to have multiple wives. Their clothing reflects the lifestyle of the wealthy, and their home is furnished beautifully. During the Qing Dynasty, men typically shaved their heads and wore a 30% queue (braid), while women had bound feet. The frame is 42 cm long, 31 cm wide, and 1.5 cm thick. The painting itself is 29 cm long and 18 cm wide. It has a crack and some blemishes; its preservation over time has been very difficult. Thank you!
