Takashi Murakami (1962) - Flowers in a Basket

This is Takashi Murakami's latest work from 2024, "Flowers in a Basket." Takashi Murakami's works are currently unavailable on the market. This is a rare opportunity to purchase one. Please take advantage of it. "Flowers in a Basket" is an edition piece based on a work exhibited at his solo exhibition "Still Lifes with Flowers" held at the Perrotin Gallery Shanghai in 2023. This work was created inspired by the "Flower Basket" painting by Li Song (1166-1264), a painter of the Southern Song Dynasty. Li Song's "Flower Basket" is a masterpiece that depicts seasonal flowers arranged in a basket with rich colors and meticulous brushwork, and has long been cherished as a symbol of prosperity and happiness. *Please see the photo. This is one of 300 limited edition pieces. This new series blends Murakami's signature cheerful and endearing flowers with a touch of danger, transforming them from those with teeth to those with teeth, creating a uniquely charming and slightly dangerous aesthetic. The faces include mischievous, sleepy, and even evil expressions. While many of Takashi Murakami's works feature flowers, this piece has a distinctly different feel. The gold and silver square screens in the background of the flowers are inspired by traditional Japanese gold folding screens. Please see the photos. As mentioned earlier, Takashi Murakami's works are currently scarce on the market. Please take advantage of this opportunity. Title: Flowers in a Basket Size: 60cm x 60cm
