Striking pair of antique Chinese porcelain guardian lions, commonly known as Foo Dogs.
These vibrant figurines are expertly hand-painted in a polychrome palette consistent with the late Qing Dynasty style.
Each piece serves as a traditional incense or "Joss stick" holder, featuring a distinctive cylindrical tube attached to the back.
The lions are depicted with expressive, open-mouthed countenances and traditional ornate manes, glazed in brilliant shades of turquoise, pink, and yellow. They stand atop rectangular, tiered bases, showcasing the classic "Sancai" influenced color scheme frequently seen in export porcelain from the Jiaqing period (1796–1820).
