An elegant Chinese monochrome porcelain vase, heavily potted and covered in a vibrant, glossy apple-green glaze.
The body features a well-defined, tight network of deliberate ice-crackle (ge-type) fissures that extend uniformly across the exterior and onto the base.
Design & Decorative Features
Form: Classic baluster-shaped body rising to a distinct ribbed collar and a wide, gently flared neck.
Handles: Adorned with two finely molded, symmetrically placed flanking handles on the neck, meticulously sculpted in the form of stylized archaistic dragons (chilong).
Glaze: Rich, emerald-to-apple green enamel with excellent light refraction, contrasted by an unglazed, iron-dressed foot rim.
Marks & Inscription
The green-glazed underside features a hand-painted, six-character apocryphic reign mark in black enamel.Inscription: Da Qing Kangxi Nian Zhi (大清康熙年製).
Translation: "Made during the Kangxi Reign of the Great Qing Dynasty."Context:
This is a respectful honorific mark, a traditional practice frequently employed by 20th-century Chinese workshops to pay homage to the technical triumphs of the early Qing period.
Very good antique condition. Free of structural cracks, chips, hairlines, or signs of restoration.
