Two Viking bronze necklaces 9th-11th century A.D. A fine lot of two Viking bronze necklaces, each formed as a slender round-section penannular hoop. One example has a lightly twisted hoop, with a hooked terminal at one end and a loop at the other. The second necklace has a smooth hoop and opposed hooked clasp terminals. The necklaces are in excavated condition, with age-related surface wear, green and blue-green patina, encrustation, and minor distortions, yet retaining clear and attractive wearable forms.
