Omega - Vantage Cal. 266 - Ohne mindestpreis - 2791-5 - Unisex - 1954

Vintage Omega Cal. 266 Manual Wind – Ref. 2791-5 (1954) Description A classic and elegant mid-1950s Omega manual-wind timepiece featuring the legendary copper-finished Caliber 266 movement. Housed in a stainless steel waterproof-style case with a beautifully aged, authentic patina dial and a vintage steel expansion bracelet. Long Description This lot offers an authentic example of Omega’s mid-century craftsmanship. Dating to approximately 1954, this watch is powered by the highly regarded Caliber 266, a direct descendant of the famous 30mm T2 movement series known for its reliability and precision. The original cream/silver dial has developed a heavy, uniform "honeycomb-like" or textured patina over the decades, giving it an undeniable vintage character preferred by many collectors. It features applied gold-tone dart hour markers, an applied Arabic '12', and matching dauphine hands, complemented by a sub-seconds register at 6 o'clock. The stainless steel case remains crisp with sharp lines, showing honest wear consistent with its age. The screw-down caseback bears the correct internal multi-language sealing instructions and the Omega logo hallmark. The watch is completed by an original signed Omega crown and a period-correct stainless steel expandable bracelet. Technical Specifications Brand: Omega Model/Reference: 2791-5 Serial Number: 14,387,709 (Dates to approx. 1954) Movement: Manual Wind, Caliber 266 (17 Jewels, copper-colored finish) Case Material: Stainless Steel (Acier Inoxydable) Case Diameter: ~35mm (excluding crown) Dial: Original with heavy vintage patina, applied gold-tone indices, sub-seconds layout Crown: Original, signed with Omega logo Caseback: Screw-down, marked "Waterproof" externally Bracelet: Period-correct vintage stainless steel expandable expansion bracelet Condition Report Movement: Clean, running, and functioning properly.
