Items show natural, authentic signs of age, wear, and light oxidation/rubbing to the bronze surfaces, which is completely normal for authentic travel icons of this era. Restorations: The items are in completely original, untouched condition. No modern restorations or chemical cleaning have been performed to preserve the original historical appearance. Alterations: Left plaque: This is an original side wing (leaf) from a triptych icon, the central part and the other wing are missing. The side hinge loops are intact. Remnants of historical blue and white enamel are visible. Center plaque: Completely original cast, features primitive side and top attachment loops from the time of making. Right plaque: Features an attached top finial (kokoshnik) as part of the original casting. Covered in a beautiful, natural green patina that has not been altered or removed.
