Altrömisch, Kaiserreich Bronze Ring - 2. bis 4. Jahrhundert n. Chr. (Ohne mindestpreis)

Roman Bronze Signet Ring – 2nd to 4th Century AD A Roman bronze finger ring formed with a slender circular hoop rising directly into a small, elevated cushion-shaped bezel. The bezel bears a deeply worn incised motif, possibly a highly stylised monogram or personal emblem, now partially obscured by surface wear and mineralisation. Its restrained construction and compact engraved bezel are consistent with simple Roman signet rings intended for personal adornment or identification. The surface preserves an attractive dark brown and green archaeological patina with areas of oxidation and age-related wear. Simple rings of this type can be difficult to date precisely; the Roman attribution and proposed chronology are based primarily on its morphology. Material: Bronze Dimensions: 2.6 × 2.4 cm Weight: 2.4 g Provenance: Acquired in Germany. From a German private collection assembled during the 80’s.
