I paint to give shape to what is sometimes impossible to put into words: the calm, the light and the emotion of a moment.
I am Noelia Correa, a visual artist with a Fine Arts degree, of Argentine-Spanish roots. I have been working in my studio in Alicante, Spain for 25 years.
My work is born between two seas that have always accompanied me: the strength of the Atlantic and the serenity of the Mediterranean.
In my paintings I do not seek to represent places, but sensations. I work with acrylics and mixed media, building up layers, transparencies and textures that invite you to pause for a moment, breathe and connect.
Each work is a very intuitive process, almost like a conversation with the canvas. I seek that balance between energy and calm, always leaving space for the viewer to find their own emotion.
