The local Nepali craftsmen independently carved a whole piece of hardwood and hand-painted with natural mineral pigments to create the folk mask of Mahakala (Mahaykala), a Dharma protector, and strictly followed the Tibetan Buddhist statue rituals. The color is thick and simple, and the thin varnish on the surface seals the painting for a long time to avoid weathering and fading. The facial features, skulls, and patterns are all hand-shaped and colored. In Tibetan culture, the red-bodied Mahakala is a powerful protector who protects the house, wards off evil spirits, eliminates disasters and diseases, and resolves obstacles and disputes. This old wood carving has high color painting integrity and no defects or defects.
