Impressive large glazed ceramic centerpiece created by Aldo Londi for Bitossi, dating from the Italian Mid-Century period, circa 1970s. The low, generously proportioned form is decorated with distinctive concentric coloured bands in vivid green, ochre yellow, orange and ivory. The exterior is enriched with hand-impressed circular motifs and fine combed textures, giving the piece a highly decorative and tactile appearance. The interior is finished in a warm ivory-white glaze displaying fine age-related crazing. The underside is glazed in green and retains visible concentric traces of the wheel-thrown production process. A striking decorative object, ideal as a table centerpiece, display bowl or statement piece in a Mid-Century Modern interior. Condition: good vintage condition, with minor signs of age, glaze crazing and small irregularities consistent with handcrafted ceramic production.
