Seiko Seikomatic-P 33 Jewels Automatic – Ref. 5106-8020 – 1968 A distinguished vintage Seiko Seikomatic-P automatic wristwatch from 1968, powered by the high-grade 51-series automatic movement with 33 jewels. The Seikomatic-P was positioned as one of Seiko’s premium automatic watches of its era. The “P” refers to its distinctive push-button date correction system, incorporated into the crown. Pressing the hexagonal button in the crown advances the date, an unusual and technically interesting feature characteristic of this model. The watch features a clean silver/white dial with applied baton hour markers, central seconds and a framed day-date display at 3 o’clock. The dial is signed “SEIKOMATIC-P 33 JEWELS”. A particularly attractive feature of this example is its large approximately 38 mm stainless-steel case, giving it considerably more wrist presence than many Japanese watches of the period. The watch is fitted with a new aftermarket black leather strap and aftermarket buckle.
