Seiko Lord Matic (LM) — Ref. 5606-7010 — Automatic, Day-Date, 25 Jewels, Kanji Day Wheel, 1970 — PLEASE NOTE: calendar quickset not working IMPORTANT — FUNCTIONAL DEFECT The calendar quick-set function does not work: the day and date cannot be advanced using the crown shortcut and can only be set by rotating the hands. The watch itself is running, and the day and date do change with the movement of the hands. The watch is sold AS-IS for repair or as a running vintage piece with this limitation — please bid accordingly. Overview A vintage Seiko Lord Matic (LM) from 1970, powered by the automatic calibre 5606 with 25 jewels. The silver-grey dial has an attractive linen (fabric-weave) texture, silver applied bar indices with black centre lines, and a day-date window at 3 o'clock with a Japanese kanji day wheel (Sunday shown in red — a nice JDM touch). Tonneau-shaped stainless steel case on its original Seiko LM bracelet. Specifications - Brand: Seiko - Model: Lord Matic (LM) — dial signed LORD MATIC / 25 JEWELS - Reference: 5606-7010 (dial code 5606-7011R; serial no. 0N2054 — November 1970) - Movement: Automatic — calibre 5606, 25 jewels, day-date at 3 o'clock (quickset NOT working — see note above) - Case: Stainless steel, tonneau shape with round bezel; case back marked WATER RESISTANT / STAINLESS STEEL - Dial: Silver-grey with linen texture; kanji day wheel - Case diameter: to be confirmed — please see photos for proportions (boys'/mid size) - Bracelet: Original Seiko LM beads-of-rice style bracelet with signed clasp, approx. 17 cm wrist size as pictured - Total weight: approx. 65.9 g Condition In fair condition — a vintage piece sold as-is with the functional limitation described above and visible signs of wear. The crystal shows several scratches and fine lines that are visible in angled light. The polished case sides show small scratches and dents, with more noticeable rubbing on the crown side. The bracelet shows overall wear, with yellowish rust/discolouration spots on several links and scratches and small rust spots on the clasp surface. The dial and hands remain in good shape with no major deterioration. Please refer to the photos, which form part of the condition description. Working order The watch is running at the time of listing, but the calendar quickset does not work (see above). As a vintage automatic, accuracy has not been tested or guaranteed, water resistance should not be assumed, and service history is unknown. Included Watch only. No box or papers.
