- COURT OF EYES -
ORIGINAL Painting, character portraiture by ARVY
The painting is 100% hand-painted using highly pigmented artist-grade acrylic paints, and finished with a UV-protective satin varnish. It is created on unprimed, firm, robust, and kink-resistant gallery-quality canvas (360 g/m²) without a stretcher frame.
Dimensions: 100x165 cm (entire canvas)
Artwork Overview:
The gates have opened, but no one enters this kingdom unseen.
Four crowned beings assemble against a fever-red field. A blue mask watches from the left; beside it, a single eye expands until it becomes an entire face. At the centre, another eye rises upon a jagged electric-blue neck, while a smaller ruler observes from a framed head at the edge. Their bodies dissolve into rooms, ladders and cryptic signs, as though the kingdom itself had been built from looking.
In The Court of Eyes, ARVY transforms the direct, rule-free energy of naïve art into a charged contemporary myth about attention and power. Proportion follows emotion rather than anatomy: crowns grow into antennas, faces become eyes, and figures loom according to the force of their presence. Cobalt blue, acid yellow, pink and black strike against the red ground, while scratches, splatters and half-erased symbols make the surface feel discovered rather than designed—like a coded wall from an unknown civilisation.
The painting commands a room through colour, then rewards closer viewing with marks and hidden structures that continue to emerge. Its rulers never meet one another’s gaze; they reserve their attention for whoever approaches. Once the work enters a space, the court gains its final participant: the person standing before it.

Artist Bio:
ARVY is a fourth-generation artist continuing a family legacy of visual and performance art. He studied painting at an art college, graduating in 2016, and has been active in the art world ever since.
Raised in a creative household, ARVY began his artistic path in childhood while assisting his father — painter, illusionist and performer Arvydas Gaičiūnas ( Retne ), co-founder of Magic Theater DiArchy. This early exposure to both visual art and stage performance shaped his distinctive, theatrical sensibility.
ARVY’s work is eclectic and emotionally charged, blending elements of contemporary expressionism, symbolism, street energy, and poetic abstraction. His pieces explore contrasts — chaos and harmony, intuition and control — reflecting the pulse of modern life through vivid color and raw gesture.
He has exhibited internationally and his works are held in private collections across Europe. Beyond painting, ARVY is also known for his creative versatility as a musician and digital creator, bringing the same intensity and imagination to sound, movement, and image.
Thank you for considering ARVY’s work. This portrait is sure to be a standout addition to any collection of modern or contemporary art!
