Rado - Simplon - Ohne mindestpreis - Herren - 1970-1979

--- Introduction --- Long before Rado became synonymous with ceramic, it made watches like this: a 1970s dress model in polished steel, its case softly cushioned and finished with fine concentric turning on the bezel. The dial is the period at its best - a smoky grey-green fume graduating from a bright centre to near black at the edge, printed with slender Roman numerals and signed with the Rado anchor. Two hands, no date, no seconds. The famous rotating anchor medallion is engraved on the caseback. --- Specifications --- Brand: Rado Series: Simplon Reference: Not stamped on the case; serial 780369A Movement: Manual winding Case Material: Stainless steel Crystal: Mineral glass Dial: Grey-green fume with printed Roman numerals, signed with the Rado anchor, RADO, Simplon and RADO WATCH Case Back: Snap-on steel back engraved with the Rado anchor medallion and Swiss Made Bracelet: Black leather strap with steel pin buckle (aftermarket, not original Rado) Period: 1970-1979 Country of Origin: Switzerland --- Condition Report --- Overall: Good - visible signs of wear. A characterful vintage dress watch that shows its age honestly and runs as it should. Case & Bezel: The steel case retains its cushion form and the fine turning on the bezel is still crisp. There are hairline scratches across the polished surfaces and a few small nicks along the bezel edge and the lug tips. Dial & Crystal: The fume dial is intact and retains its full gradation, with all printed numerals legible and both hands present and correct; a few small specks and light spotting are visible under close inspection, as is usual for a dial of this age. The crystal is clear, with light surface marks. Bracelet & Clasp: Please note that the strap is an aftermarket replacement and not an original Rado strap. The black leather is supple and complete, with light creasing at the fold, and closes on a steel pin buckle. Functions: Manual winding movement, running at the time of listing. The crown winds and sets the time correctly. Water resistance has not been tested and cannot be guaranteed on a watch of this age; a service is recommended before regular wear. --- International Shipping & Customs --- The watch is dispatched from Japan, carefully packed and fully tracked. Please note that import duties, taxes and customs clearance charges are not included in the item price or in the shipping cost. Such charges are levied by the customs authorities of the destination country and remain the sole responsibility of the buyer. We are not able to declare a lot as a gift or to understate its value.
