Story & Heritage
The Omega Seamaster is one of the most iconic names in Swiss watchmaking history. Introduced in the late 1940s, the early Seamaster models were created as elegant, reliable and robust wristwatches inspired by Omega’s experience in producing precise timepieces for demanding conditions.
This early automatic bumper version is especially appreciated by collectors. Before the development of modern full-rotor automatic systems, Omega used the distinctive bumper automatic movement, where the oscillating weight moves between two springs, creating a unique mechanical sensation on the wrist. It is one of the most charming and historically significant automatic systems from Omega’s vintage era.
With its stainless steel case, beautifully aged dial, small seconds display and early Seamaster character, this watch is a wonderful piece for collectors who appreciate authentic vintage Omega design, mechanical history and understated Swiss elegance.
