Seiko x Galaxy Express 999 (銀河鉄道999) 45th Anniversary limited edition quartz chronograph, reference 8T63-01N0, numbered 514/999 — complete with original box and papers. Overview A Japan-only collaboration between Seiko and the legendary anime/manga Galaxy Express 999 by Leiji Matsumoto, released for the series' 45th anniversary and limited to just 999 pieces worldwide — this example is engraved 514/999 on the case back. The black dial carries a gold-rimmed "999" emblem at 12, gold-edged indices and hands, and three sub-dials: a 60-minute counter at 9, a 24-hour indicator at 3, and — the collector's touch — a blue sunray small-seconds dial at 6 evoking the galaxy theme. The case back bears a portrait engraving of Maetel with the 45th Anniversary inscription. Powered by the Seiko 8T63 quartz chronograph calibre, with a silver tachymeter bezel and a date window between 4 and 5 o'clock. Made in Japan, rated 10 bar water resistant. The clasp surface shows noticeable fine scratches and there are small scratches on the link sides, with some light soiling in the link gaps. The case and bezel show only faint light scratches on the polished surfaces. The dial, hands and crystal are clean with no notable damage. Chronograph functions have not been individually tested in detail. Accuracy and water resistance have not been professionally tested or guaranteed. The remaining battery life is unknown.
