The inscription appears to mention an owner, possibly reading approximately: “Owner and possessor, Haji Mehmed / Muhammad Omar Efendi, year 1329.” The date 1329 is likely written according to the Islamic / Ottoman calendar system, placing the object around the late Ottoman period / early 20th century. The piece has a strong decorative presence, with visible age patina, oxidation, surface wear, old marks, dents and signs of use. The reverse side shows heavy patina and oxidation, consistent with age and long-term use.
