Tischuhr - Kienzle - Messing, Glas, emaillierter Stahl - 1950-1960

Highly collectible mid-century modern desk/mantel clock manufactured by the prestigious German watchmaker Kienzle Uhren during the late 1950s or 1960s. Designed under the modernist influence of the era—strongly attributed to Kienzle’s chief designer Heinrich Möller—this timepiece beautifully reimagines the classic antique "lantern" or "capucine" style through a sleek, geometric Mid-Century lens. • Manufacturer: Kienzle Uhren (Germany) • Era/Period: Circa 1960s • Style: Mid-Century Modern / Hollywood Regency • Country of Origin: Germany Design & Materials: The clock features a heavy, solid brass rectangular architectural frame supported by four classic turnip feet. The top section is adorned with four decorative brass finials (pinnacles). The front fascia features an elegant, high-gloss lacquered panel in deep cobalt blue, which creates a stunning contrast against the polished and brushed brass elements. The dial is composed of a golden chapter ring featuring crisp black Roman numerals and ornate, openwork stylized hands. Mechanism & Technical Specifications: • Movement Type: Low-voltage electro-mechanical hybrid movement (Kienzle Automatic system). • Functionality: It utilizes a traditional mechanical gear train and balance wheel regulator, which is automatically and periodically rewound by an internal electromagnetic solenoid coil. • Power Supply: Runs on a single low-voltage 1.5V battery (located in the rear/bottom compartment), providing an electrical power reserve of approximately 1 to 2 years. • Acoustics: Silent movement (Non-striking / No chime). Condition Report (For Restoration / Parts): • Missing Component: Please note that the left-side panel is completely missing, leaving the internal movement exposed on that side. • Aesthetics: The brass frame shows a widespread, natural vintage patina, minor tarnishing, and surface oxidation consistent with age, but no structural dents or deep cracks. The front blue lacquered panel and the golden dial remain good. "Battery not included"
