Beautiful and exceptionally well-preserved Romanian 1 Leu silver coin from 1914, issued during the reign of King Carol I of Romania (1881–1914).

One side features the left-facing portrait of King Carol I, surrounded by the legend CAROL I REGE AL ROMANIEI, engraved by Ernest Paulin Tasset.

The other side depicts the well-known allegorical Romanian rural scene with a peasant woman spinning, together with the denomination 1 LEU, the name ROMANIA, and the date 1914, designed by Costache Bassarab.

The MS 65 grade represents an unusually attractive Mint State example, with strong original detail and excellent overall eye appeal.

The coin is preserved and protected in its original sealed NGC holder.
