A fine and increasingly sought-after antique German coffee grinder, marked “Leinbrock’s Ideal D.R.G.M.” on both the original front plaque and the metal hopper lid. This attractive model features a beautifully constructed dovetailed wooden body, original drawer, large brass/metal hopper, long hand crank with wooden knob, and an adjustable grinding mechanism. The original sliding opening in the domed lid allows coffee beans to be added to the hopper. The grinder is believed to date from approximately the 1930s and is a fine example of German craftsmanship from the interwar period. It retains a wonderful authentic patina and shows honest signs of age and use, adding to its antique character. The piece appears largely complete and original. There is a small chip to one corner of the wooden base, visible in the photographs.
