The Red Label Riserva is reserved exclusively for the finest vintages — when it is produced, the white label is not made. In 2020, Bruna Giacosa decided in the vineyard itself that the conditions warranted the Riserva, a decision that speaks to the extraordinary quality of the grapes. Aged 20 months in barrel followed by two years in bottle. Only 11,464 bottles produced. Bruna Giacosa compares 2020 to the legendary 2000 vintage — “marked by elegance rather than raw power, a wine that seduces rather than overpowers.” Fantastic layers of incense, Asian spices, fresh currants and raspberries; the palate is elegant and refined with the silkiest mouthfeel and extraordinary freshness, with a dark earthiness and faint touch of tar.
