It has developed a beautiful warm champagne tone with an almost pearlescent appearance, changing subtly depending on the light. In softer light it can appear more silver grey, while direct light brings out its warmer champagne tones. The Omega logo on the dial has been redone somewhere in its lifetime. The dial is complemented by gold coloured hands and hour markers, with applied Arabic numerals at 12, 2, 4, 8 and 10 o’clock and subtle dot markers at the remaining hours. The subsidiary seconds display at 6 o’clock completes the characteristic vintage design. The stainless steel case remains in nice and honest vintage condition, retaining attractive proportions and thick lugs. As can be expected from a watch of this age, the case shows scratches, marks and other signs of wear consistent with normal use. The watch retains its original Omega signed crown and correct caseback. Inside is the desirable Omega calibre 342 automatic bumper movement, movement number 12.510.009. These early bumper movements are particularly appreciated by vintage Omega enthusiasts for their distinctive winding system and important place in Omega’s early automatic watchmaking. The watch runs and functions as may be expected from a vintage timepiece. The watch is fitted with a high quality replacement stainless steel beads of rice bracelet with an Omega signed clasp.
