Seiko - Seiko 5 - Ohne mindestpreis - 6309-5820 - Herren - 1983

Seiko 5 automatic day-date wristwatch, reference 6309-5820, with a green checkerboard-pattern dial and fluted bezel, produced in 1983. Overview A distinctive vintage Seiko 5 automatic with a striking green checkerboard (lattice) dial: alternating squares of bright textured green and darker glossy green create a three-dimensional metallic effect. A fluted (coin-ridged) polished bezel frames the dial, giving the watch a dressy character. Applied silver indices — bars at 12, 6 and 9, paired pyramid studs elsewhere — with luminous-lined baton hands, and a day-date window at 3 o'clock (English day display, Sunday in red). Powered by the Seiko 6309 automatic movement with 17 jewels. Specifications - Brand: Seiko - Model: Seiko 5 — dial signed SEIKO 5 / AUTOMATIC / 17 JEWELS / JAPAN MADE - Reference: 6309-5820 (serial no. 335718; the engraved case back reference is partially worn — see photos) - Movement: Seiko calibre 6309, automatic, 17 jewels — hours, minutes, central seconds, day-date at 3 o'clock - Case: Stainless steel, polished finish with fluted bezel, solid screw case back marked SEIKO / WATER RESISTANT / STAINLESS STEEL, crown at 3 o'clock - Dial: Green checkerboard / lattice pattern - Bracelet: Steel jubilee-style five-link bracelet — no Seiko markings found, so originality cannot be confirmed - Wrist size: approx. 18.5-19 cm as pictured - Total weight: approx. 82.6 g - Year of production: 1983 (March, per serial number and calibre period) Condition In very good condition for its age, with only light signs of wear. The case and fluted bezel retain good lustre with only faint rubbing on the lugs and bezel. The dial is clean with no staining or corrosion, the hands are clean, and the crystal shows no notable scratches. The main wear is on the clasp, which shows light scratches and a few small spots of surface soiling; the bracelet links show only light wear. No rust observed. Please refer to the photos, which form part of the condition description. Working order The watch is in working order (running at the time of listing). Day and date change correctly. Accuracy and water resistance have not been professionally tested or guaranteed; as with any vintage automatic watch, a service may be needed for long-term reliability. Included Watch with steel bracelet only. No box or papers. Shipping Ships from Japan. Registered and insured shipping, mainly via DHL or FedEx. Import duties or taxes may apply depending on the buyer's country. These charges must be paid by the buyer. No weekend shipping as courier pickups are unavailable on Saturdays and Sundays.
