And more, all wines sold by us, are maintained in perfect condition, in our temperature controlled warehouses at 13 and 17 °C, in a horizontal position and in absence of light Chianti Classico DOCG 2021 of the renowned Castellare winery in Castellina. This Tuscan red wine is characterised by a label that, since 1977, depicts a different bird every year to celebrate the biodiversity of the vineyards; for the 2021 vintage, the Zigolo orange head (Emberiza bruniceps) was chosen. Characteristics of the wine Grapes: Composed mainly of Sangiovese (95%) and a small part of Canaiolo (5%). Vinification: It is vinified in steel and then aged in French oak barrels for about 7 months, followed by another 7 months in the bottle. Sensory Profile: It has a bright ruby red colour with purple reflections. On the nose it offers hints of red fruits (cherry, currants), violet and light spicy notes of liquorice and vanilla. On the palate it is fresh, with soft tannins and a good structure. Pairings: It goes ideally with white and red meat roasts, game, poultry and medium-aged cheeses
