Tissot Navigator Chronograph – Vintage Mechanical Panda Dial – Original Box
A highly distinctive vintage Tissot Navigator Chronograph, combining bold 1970s design with traditional Swiss mechanical watchmaking. Its substantial cushion-shaped stainless-steel case, contrasting panda-style dial and black tachymeter scale give the watch a strong sporting personality and an unmistakable period presence.
The silver dial is complemented by two dark chronograph subdials, applied baton hour markers and vivid red accents. A framed date window at 6 o’clock completes the balanced composition, while the original Tissot box adds further appeal for collectors.

Condition Report
The watch is presented in Grade B vintage condition, with visible signs of use and ageing consistent with its period. The stainless-steel case displays scratches, marks and surface wear, particularly around the case edges, bezel and chronograph pushers.
The silver dial has developed an attractive vintage appearance, with visible ageing, small marks and natural discolouration. The contrasting chronograph subdials, applied hour markers and red details retain the characteristic sporting look of the Navigator. Visible colour variation is present on the right subdial and should be considered part of the watch’s aged condition.
The black tachymeter scale shows signs of wear but remains clearly legible. The acrylic crystal also presents age-related marks and can be polished or replaced by a watchmaker if desired.
The watch is fitted with a generic stainless-steel bracelet suitable for a wrist of up to approximately 20 cm. The original Tissot presentation box is included and also displays signs of storage and age.
Water resistance has not been tested and is therefore not guaranteed. The watch should be kept away from water unless professionally inspected and pressure tested.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they form an essential part of the description and provide the most accurate representation of the watch’s condition.
Story & Heritage
Founded in Le Locle in 1853, Tissot has played an important role in the development of accessible Swiss precision watches. During the golden era of mechanical chronographs, the company produced bold and technically accomplished models intended for drivers, travellers and enthusiasts of sporting timekeeping.
The Navigator Chronograph reflects the adventurous design language of the 1970s. Its cushion-shaped case, panda dial and tachymeter scale belong to an era when chronographs became both functional instruments and expressive lifestyle watches. The contrasting subdials and red accents were designed for quick readability while giving the watch a dynamic visual identity.
At its heart is the hand-wound Tissot calibre 2070, a traditional Swiss mechanical chronograph movement that turns every winding and activation of the pushers into a direct connection with the engineering of its period.
With its charismatic vintage styling, mechanical chronograph movement and original Tissot box, this Navigator is more than a timekeeper—it is an authentic survivor from one of the most creative chapters in Swiss sports-watch design.
