Florescent Petroleum Quartz Mineraliensammlung - Höhe: 70 mm - Breite: 52 mm- 98 g - (1)

Rare Fluorescent Petroleum Quartz on Matrix – Balochistan, Pakistan Mineral: Natural Quartz with petroleum inclusions Locality: Balochistan, Pakistan Weight: 98 grams Dimensions: 70 × 52 × 23 mm Crystal formation: Natural terminated crystals on matrix Treatment: Natural / untreated Special features: Petroleum inclusions, mobile bubbles and UV fluorescence Main crystals: Three prominent petroleum-bearing quartz crystals A beautiful and uncommon collector specimen of natural petroleum quartz from the Balochistan mines of Pakistan, weighing 98 grams and measuring approximately 70 × 52 × 23 mm. The specimen features three prominent natural quartz crystals embedded in their original matrix, each displaying visible internal petroleum inclusions. The crystals are naturally formed and terminated, creating an attractive contrast with the pale, textured matrix. The exposed crystals show good natural form and are presented in an appealing, undamaged condition. The most fascinating feature of this specimen is the natural petroleum preserved inside the quartz crystals. The inclusions are clearly visible within the transparent to translucent crystals, and small bubbles can be observed moving within the petroleum-filled cavities as the specimen is gently moved. This dynamic internal feature provides a remarkable view of a natural fluid inclusion preserved during the growth of the quartz. Under UV light, the petroleum produces a distinctive fluorescent reaction, causing the crystals to display a noticeable change in colour and appearance. UV photographs are included with the auction to demonstrate this fluorescent effect and the presence of the petroleum inclusions. A rare matrix specimen Petroleum-bearing quartz from Balochistan is a highly interesting material because of the combination of crystallized quartz and naturally trapped petroleum. Complete matrix specimens with multiple visible crystals, natural terminations, clearly visible inclusions and mobile bubbles are encountered relatively infrequently. This specimen is especially attractive because the three main petroleum-bearing crystals remain attached to the natural matrix, giving it much stronger display and collector appeal than loose fragments. The natural matrix also preserves the geological setting in which the crystals formed. The combination of: Three main petroleum-bearing quartz crystals Natural crystal terminations Visible petroleum inclusions Mobile bubbles inside the inclusions Natural matrix association Distinctive UV fluorescence Attractive cabinet-sized presentation makes this a particularly interesting specimen for collectors of fluorescent minerals, unusual quartz, fluid inclusions and rare Pakistani mineral specimens. The photographs showing the colour-changing effect were taken under UV illumination and are included as part of the presentation of the specimen. A striking and uncommon natural petroleum-quartz specimen from Balochistan, Pakistan, combining excellent matrix presentation with fascinating moving fluid inclusions and a distinctive fluorescent response under UV light.

Rare Fluorescent Petroleum Quartz on Matrix – Balochistan, Pakistan

Mineral: Natural Quartz with petroleum inclusions
Locality: Balochistan, Pakistan
Weight: 98 grams
Dimensions: 70 × 52 × 23 mm
Crystal formation: Natural terminated crystals on matrix
Treatment: Natural / untreated
Special features: Petroleum inclusions, mobile bubbles and UV fluorescence
Main crystals: Three prominent petroleum-bearing quartz crystals

A beautiful and uncommon collector specimen of natural petroleum quartz from the Balochistan mines of Pakistan, weighing 98 grams and measuring approximately 70 × 52 × 23 mm.

A rare matrix specimen

Petroleum-bearing quartz from Balochistan is a highly interesting material because of the combination of crystallized quartz and naturally trapped petroleum.

The combination of:

Three main petroleum-bearing quartz crystals
Natural crystal terminations
Visible petroleum inclusions
Mobile bubbles inside the inclusions
Natural matrix association
Distinctive UV fluorescence
Attractive cabinet-sized presentation

makes this a particularly interesting specimen for collectors of fluorescent minerals, unusual quartz, fluid inclusions and rare Pakistani mineral specimens.
