Seiko - Seikomatic Weekdater - Ohne mindestpreis - J13080 - Herren - 1960-1969

Seikomatic Weekdater Automatic J13080 – 1960s vintage with silver sunburst dial, 33 jewels, day-date with English day at 6 o'clock, stainless steel case with dolphin-marked caseback, on a replacement stainless steel bracelet. PLEASE NOTE: the domed acrylic crystal has numerous fine hairline scratches and surface scuffs across its surface. The bracelet carries no Seiko markings, so it is not the original bracelet, and the inner fold-over plate of the clasp shows surface pitting with white-grey corrosion deposits and grime; there is also brown grime between the lugs and at the case-to-bracelet junction. The dial has a very faint brownish smudge on the chapter ring around 9–10 o'clock, a tiny dark dot below the day window and a few faint pinpoint marks. The caseback is worn with fine scratches and carries no legible serial number, so the exact production year cannot be confirmed. On this calibre the day is not set with the crown; it is advanced by moving the hands back and forth between the 10 o'clock and 2 o'clock positions, which is the original design of the movement and not a defect. Please check the photos carefully before bidding. Overview A 1960s Seikomatic Weekdater, one of Seiko's early automatic day-date watches, with a 33-jewel Diashock-protected movement. The silver sunburst dial carries the Seiko wave emblem, Seikomatic and Weekdater script, WATER 30 PROOF and DIASHOCK 33 JEWELS text, applied faceted steel baton indices with dark inlay stripes, a double baton at 12 o'clock, a sloped chapter ring with printed railroad minute track, a framed date window at 3 o'clock and a framed day window at 6 o'clock with the full day name in English. Polished dauphine hands and a thin central seconds hand; no luminous material. Round polished stainless steel case with a smooth bezel, straight lugs, a small ribbed crown at 3 o'clock and a stainless steel caseback engraved with the Seiko dolphin mark. Fitted with a stainless steel link bracelet with a fold-over clasp.
