Seiko 5 Actus SS Automatic 6106-7440 (1970) – vintage silver sunburst dial, 25 jewels, day-date, stainless steel cushion case, on a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet. PLEASE NOTE: the dial code printed at 6 o'clock reads 6106-7460T while the caseback is engraved 6106-7440; such differences between dial and case numbers occur on vintage Seiko, but we mention it for transparency and do not claim the watch to be all original. The day disc shows a Japanese kanji day in the photos. No Seiko markings were found on the bracelet clasp, so the originality of the bracelet cannot be confirmed, and the clasp face has heavy fine scratching. The bezel and case show numerous fine hairline scratches and a few tiny nicks on the bezel edge around 12 o'clock, and the caseback has light swirl scratches with one longer scratch near a notch. No spare links are included. Please check the photos carefully before bidding. Overview A 1970 Seiko 5 Actus SS with the 25-jewel Seiko 6106 automatic movement. The bright silver sunburst dial carries an applied SEIKO logo, the boxed 5 ACTUS badge, SS emblem and 25 JEWELS text, applied polished baton indices with black centre stripes, a double baton at 12 o'clock, a stepped silver chapter ring with black minute graduations and a black-framed day-date window at 3 o'clock. Polished faceted baton hands with black inner stripes and a plain stick seconds hand; no luminous material. Cushion-shaped stainless steel case with brushed tops, polished bevels and a polished round bezel, a ribbed crown at 4 o'clock and a solid screw-down caseback marked WATERPROOF. Fitted with a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet with five rows of rounded beads between flat brushed outer links, straight end links and a fold-over clasp with sliding adjustment.
