EU-based professional seller — no import taxes for EU buyers. Get your hands on this serviced February 1968 Seiko 5 ref. 6119-8020 with a 21-jewel automatic movement, silver sunburst crosshair dial, English day-date display and 3-month guarantee. Model History: Introduced in 1963, the Seiko 5 collection was built around five practical characteristics: automatic winding, a day-date display, water-resistant case construction, a recessed crown and a durable case design. These qualities helped establish Seiko 5 as one of the brand’s most successful and recognisable product lines. Manufactured in February 1968, this early example features a classically proportioned stainless-steel case and an attractive silver sunburst crosshair dial. The applied geometric hour markers and framed day-date display give the watch a distinctive late-1960s appearance. Specifications: Brand: Seiko Model: Seiko 5 Automatic Reference number: 6119-8020 Serial number: 821798 Production date: February 1968 Movement: Seiko calibre 6119 automatic Winding: Automatic only Jewels: 21 Frequency: 21,600 vibrations per hour Functions: Hours, minutes, central seconds, day and date Additional features: Crown-operated quickset date and semi-quickset weekday adjustment Day wheel: English Hacking seconds: No Case material: Stainless steel Case diameter: Approx. 37 mm Lug-to-lug: Approx. 42 mm Lug width: 19 mm Dial: Silver sunburst crosshair dial with applied geometric hour markers Crystal: New and scratch-free Strap: New black leather strap Box and papers: Not included Service: Movement fully serviced in October 2026; all functions are working correctly Guarantee: 3-month guarantee on functionality from the date of purchase Condition: The watch is presented in attractive vintage condition. Its silver sunburst dial produces a strong radial play of light, while the fine crosshair lines, applied geometric hour markers and framed day-date aperture give it a particularly distinctive appearance. The printed Seiko signature, Seiko 5 emblem and 21-jewel marking remain clear and well presented. The dial is in nice overall condition but displays some age-related marks and fine scratches, including a more noticeable curved scratch on the left-hand section. The hands and applied hour markers show light surface ageing consistent with the age of the watch, while the overall appearance remains clean and highly legible. The stainless-steel case retains its attractive angular profile and broad faceted lugs. Scratches, small marks and normal signs of previous wear are visible across the polished and brushed surfaces. The case back also shows age-related scratches and wear, while the reference and serial-number engravings remain clearly legible. A new, clear and scratch-free crystal and a new black leather strap have been fitted. The calibre 6119 automatic movement has been serviced, and all functions are operating correctly. A 3-month guarantee is provided on functionality. I aim to capture the condition of the watch accurately. Please make sure to review the pictures closely before bidding. The watch has been completely serviced by a professional watchmaker and tested for full functionality. The water resistance of the watch cannot be guaranteed.
