Armband - 14 kt Gelbgold - Diamant - Vintage Rubinarmreif

Type of jewel: Ruby and diamond hinged bangle. Condition: In well-preserved condition, especially given this bangle’s age, with light surface wear to the gold. Style: Classic late 20th-century design, with a central row of rubies framed by two rows of diamonds. Era: Circa 1990. Material: 14K yellow gold, touchstone tested. Extra information: Hinged construction with a box clasp and an additional safety catch. Diamonds: 50 round brilliant-cut natural diamonds with an estimated combined weight of 1.75 ct (colour: G–H; clarity: VS–SI). Diamond weights, colour and clarity are approximate, as the stones were assessed in their settings and were not removed for grading or weighing. All diamonds in this bangle were individually tested with the Magilabs' EXA Natural Diamond Detector and identified as natural diamonds. Gemstones: 23 square-cut natural rubies with an estimated combined weight of 1.40 ct. Gemstone weights are approximate, as the stones were assessed in their settings and were not removed for weighing. It is common practice for gemstones to be treated in order to improve their colour or clarity. The rubies have not been tested for such treatments. Traditional gemstone associations: Ruby is traditionally associated with July, and diamond with April. Hallmarks: Stamped ‘585’, indicating 14K gold. Dimensions: Inner circumference: 16.2 cm; band width: 7.56 mm. See picture with a ruler in cm and inches.
