Traditionelle japanische Noren - Wandteppich - 150 cm - 88 cm - Indigo-Färben, Shibori

Unused Japanese Indigo Noren Curtain – Hand-Dyed Shibori Concentric Circle Design – Natural Indigo Cotton – approx. 150 x 88 cm Description Unused Japanese noren (doorway curtain) dyed with natural indigo (ai-zome) and decorated with a striking shibori resist-dyed pattern of two large overlapping concentric circles. The radiating, ring-like motif resembles tree rings or a blooming flower. The pale areas show the soft, organic variations that only shibori dyeing can produce. Made of 100% cotton with a pleasantly textured, slubby weave. The noren has a center split, so it can be used as a doorway curtain or room divider. It has seven hanging loops across the top, each reinforced with cross stitching. It can be hung on a rod or used as a tapestry or wall hanging. The original paper tags are still attached. One reads “Noren – Sawayaka”, cotton 100%, approx. 150 x 88 cm. The other, a care label, advises washing before first use with neutral detergent. Because it is dyed with natural indigo, the color may bleed, so wash it separately from other items. Details Item: Noren (Japanese doorway curtain) Material: 100% cotton Dye: Natural indigo, shibori technique Size: approx. 150 cm (length) x 88 cm (width) / approx. 59 x 34.6 inches Origin: Japan Features: Center split, 7 hanging loops, original tags attached Condition Unused and in excellent condition, with no stains, holes, or damage. There are light creases from storage. The natural slubs and small knots in the cotton are part of the fabric’s character. Please see the photos carefully. Shipped from Japan, carefully packed. Shipping: Carefully packed and shipped via Fedex or DHL with tracking and insurance. Customs & VAT: Please note that Value Added Tax (VAT), import duties, and customs fees are the buyer’s responsibility and may be collected by your local customs office upon delivery.
