An exceptionally rare Citizen Center Second Star from 1957, approximately 69 years old. Powered by a 15-jewel hand-wound mechanical movement operating at 18,000 vibrations per hour (2.5 Hz), featuring Citizen's Parashock shock-protection system and Phynox technology. The watch is in excellent working order. Most impressively, its timekeeping performance is remarkable considering its age. Almost seven decades after its manufacture, the movement continues to run smoothly and maintain excellent time. The case measures 34 mm excluding the crown and is made entirely of stainless steel. Its original black dial features an unusual floral pattern complemented by gold-tone hour markers. This distinctive dial design is one of the most remarkable characteristics of the watch. The watch retains its original leather strap and will be delivered with a period Citizen presentation box. I consider this particular configuration extremely rare. Despite searching online, I have not encountered another listing featuring the exact same dial and case combination. While this does not establish that it is the only surviving example, it certainly makes it an interesting find for vintage Citizen collectors. Did I mention how rare it is? :) The overall condition is very impressive for a watch of approximately 70 years of age. Natural signs of age and use may be present and are visible in the photographs.
