KONICA FP + Hexanon 52mm F1.8, tested and working. Hello from Japan! We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world. The Konica FP, introduced in 1962, is an early Konica SLR using the short-lived Konica F bayonet mount, here fitted with a sharp Konishiroku Hexanon 52mm f/1.8 lens. Solidly built with a mechanical focal-plane shutter, it is a handsome and collectible piece of Konica's SLR history. Measured Performance We check these cameras on a shutter tester rather than by ear, and we publish what we measured: - 1 s — measured 1/0.9 s (approx. 0.2 stop slow) - 1/60 — measured 1/64 s (approx. 0.1 stop fast) - 1/1000 — measured 1/1100 s (approx. 0.1 stop fast) Negative film has enough latitude to absorb deviations of this size, but the figures are here so you can judge for yourself.
