*Qianjiang* Emaille-Topf, der eine Dame und ein Kind zeigt. - Keramik - China - Anfang des 20. Jahrhunderts
This exquisite Chinese porcelain jar dates back to the Republic of China period (early 20th century). It is decorated in the *Qianjiang* (light-palette enamel) style, featuring a classic scene: a lady accompanied by a child beneath an ancient plum tree, accented by ornamental garden rocks, chrysanthemums, and a basket of fruit.
Inscription/Mark: The base bears a red mark reading "Made by Zhou Bingkun" (周炳森藏).
The artistic style is characteristic of figure-themed porcelain from the Republic era. The lady is portrayed with delicate facial features, dressed in elegant traditional attire rendered with fine attention to the folds of her garments. The plum branches, ornamental garden rocks, and seasonal flowers are outlined with soft, fluid lines and complemented by a subtle, understated enamel palette. The overall composition evokes a serene atmosphere, reminiscent of a classical Chinese garden.
The jar features an elegant ovoid form and is finished with a white glaze. The original porcelain lid is no longer present; it has been fitted with a modern, copper-colored metal screw-top lid (consisting of two parts), allowing it to function as a tea caddy.
There is a "chicken-foot" (hairline) crack visible on the base, which does not penetrate through to the other side (please refer to the photographs for detail). The glaze and the main painted motifs remain free of damage. The painted surface shows natural signs of wear consistent with its age.
Dimensions: Height approximately 19 cm; diameter approximately 10 cm.
All photographs are of the actual item. Please examine the images carefully to assess its condition in detail.
It will be carefully packaged and shipped via an express service with a tracking number.
