Moët & Chandon, Brut Impérial - Champagne Brut - 2 Flaschen (0,75 l)

Offered here are two bottles of Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial Champagne, presumed to have been released and purchased between 1988 and 1989. These bottles originate from a private cellar where they have been stored horizontally in a cool, dark environment since acquisition, ensuring the corks have remained moist and the wine properly preserved. Condition & Appearance: Fill Level: Both bottles show excellent fill levels (into neck), consistent with careful long-term storage. Labels: Main labels are intact with minor signs of age and slight wear. The black neck labels and gold foil capsules remain in good condition, showing only light scuffing. Capsules: The iconic gold capsules are fully intact, with the star emblem clearly visible. One capsule shows slight wrinkling at the top (see photos). Corks: The corks appear to be in excellent condition under the capsules, with no signs of seepage. Provenance: These bottles were stored horizontally in their original carton for decades, away from light and temperature fluctuations. While the exact vintage is not indicated on the label (as is standard for non-vintage Brut Impérial), the bottling style, label design, and capsule format suggest a late-1980s release. Please note: As these are presumed 1988/1989 bottlings sold from private storage, they are offered as collector's items. While the storage conditions have been optimal, the drinkability of 35+ year old Champagne cannot be guaranteed. The wine may show evolved characteristics typical of aged Champagne.
