Miniature Portable Wind-Up Gramophone – Attributed to Orion – Circa 1920–1930 Compact mechanical travel gramophone housed in a wooden carrying case, with a red interior, folding metal tonearm and a turntable covered in red felt. The partially preserved label inside the lid appears to read “Orion”; this attribution is not confirmed. The soundbox is marked “Ekophon-Spezial-Soundbox”, “The Finest Reproducer” and “Made in Germany”. The soundbox marking does not establish the origin of the complete gramophone. Estimated period: 1920s–1930s. Condition: Visible signs of age and use, including scratches, wear to the case and interior, oxidation of metal parts and losses to the paper label. Please examine the photographs carefully. The spring mechanism winds up and the turntable rotates. Sound reproduction and speed accuracy have not been tested, as no suitable shellac record is available. Full working condition and completeness cannot be guaranteed. Includes the wooden case, turntable, tonearm, soundbox and winding crank shown in the photographs. No records included. Will be carefully packed for shipping. No shipping to the USA.
