Piet Hein - 7-branched Candlestick / Candelabra - "Karlsvognen Mini" - Great Bear Mini NEW IN THE BOX Description: An iconic piece of mid-century Danish modernist design: the "Karlsvognen Mini" seven-branched candelabra, designed by the world-renowned Danish poet, scientist, and designer Piet Hein (1905–1996). The idea for this masterpiece was conceived in 1944 while Piet Hein was living in Argentina. Longing for the Northern night sky, he began experimenting with translating the famous Ursa Major (The Great Bear / Karlsvognen) constellation into a functional, sculptural light source. This "Mini" version features seven flexible, adjustable arms that allow you to arrange the candles in a straight line, a wave, or a tight circle—mirroring the shifting perspective of stars in the night sky. It is a spectacular centerpiece that perfectly bridges mathematical precision with poetic elegance.
