OLYMPUS PEN D – serviced, shutter speeds measured on a tester. • Shutter speeds measured on a shutter tester – results below. • Serviced before listing: light seals (foam) replaced. • Condition: Good – 2 issues, fully disclosed under Known Issues. About this camera The Olympus Pen D, launched in 1962, was the upmarket flagship of Yoshihisa Maitani's celebrated half-frame Pen line, yielding 72 shots from a single 36-exposure roll. It carries a beautifully sharp six-element F.Zuiko 32mm f/1.9 lens, the fastest fitted to any Pen, behind a Copal X leaf shutter that runs to 1/500 second. An uncoupled selenium meter aids exposure, while the ultra-compact body embodies Maitani's goal of a high-quality camera small enough to carry anywhere. It is a much-loved classic among half-frame enthusiasts. Measured Performance - 1/60 — measured 1/43 s (approx. 0.5 stop slow) - Light meter accuracy — EV12: 2.2 OVER / EV15: 1.8 OVER Some of these deviations exceed what negative film can absorb – see Known Issues. The shutter fires at all speeds and the light meter responds. Servicing - Light seals (foam) replaced Condition Appearance: scuffs and scratches from normal use. Please check the photos for details.
