[Accessories] Before and After the Cap [Key Specifications] The EF 50mm F2.5 Compact-Macro is a representative model of Canon’s early EF lenses. Released in December 1987, this macro lens has a long history dating back to the era of the first-generation EOS system. While it functions as a 50mm standard lens, it also supports close-up photography with a **maximum magnification of 0.5x (1:2)**. A key feature is its floating mechanism, designed to maintain excellent image quality from normal shooting to close-up photography. The minimum focusing distance is just 0.23m. It is ideal for photographing flowers, small objects, and products, and can also be used for portraits and everyday photography, taking advantage of its F2.5 maximum aperture. When used with the separately sold Life Size Converter EF, it supports 1:1 life-size macro photography. This product comes with a lens cap. [From the Seller] Thank you for viewing our products.
