Zenith - Platini - Ohne mindestpreis - 48.5000.191 - Damen - 1980-1989

Zenith Platini Quartz (ref. 48.5000.191) in beautiful, well-preserved vintage condition. This watch is one of the most distinctive and rare Swiss collaborations of the 1980s. In the mid-1980s, Zenith released this exclusive model line in honour of French football legend Michel Platini. The black dial features the distinctive handwritten “Platini” logo beneath the 12 o’clock marker. Inside, the watch is powered by the original Zenith Caliber 19.7 Swiss quartz movement (ETA-based, 1 jewel), which is running perfectly and keeping accurate time. The dial is deep black, with gold-tone Arabic numerals, gold-tone hands and a date window at 3 o’clock. The case material and design are a true example of unconventional 1980s styling: a matte black ceramic/plastic composite case, accented by elegant gold-plated details on the bezel and lugs. The original factory paper sticker on the case back is a real collector’s curiosity: “EUR / 696.” — The factory European market region code (EUR) and a period price tag/catalogue price marking, indicating that this was positioned as a premium fashion/luxury model at the time. The inside of the case back features the original engraved Zenith logo and the “SWISS” inscription, while the movement retains its original gold-plated Zenith 19.7 cover plate. A genuine, rare collector’s find for watch enthusiasts and football fans alike.
