Zuckerschale - Versilbert, Vergoldet - Großes Art Déco / Gustavia

Large Art Deco / Gustavian Silver-Plated Sugar Urn with Vermeil Interior – GAB, Sweden, c. 1920–1940 Description: An exceptionally elegant and luxurious vase-shaped sugar urn (sockerurna) in a classic neoclassical form. Originating from Sweden and dating back to the first half of the 20th century (estimated production period: 1920–1940), this piece beautifully represents the Scandinavian Gustavian (Neoclassical) style. Premium Version: The interior of both the main bowl and the lid features original, factory-applied gilding (vermeil). This gold lining not only served a functional purpose—protecting the metal from the corrosive effects of sugar and moisture—but also creates a stunning, luxurious visual contrast with the mirror-like silver plating on the exterior. The sugar urn is characterized by its beautifully slender loop handles, a stable square pedestal base, and a decorative, high-domed lid that includes a factory-made notch for a spoon. The rims are adorned with precise bead molding (beading), while the lower section of the bowl features elegant gadrooning (fluting). The vessel retains a complete set of original state and maker’s hallmarks (puncas), confirming its authenticity, provenance, and premium quality: • GAB – The mark of the renowned Swedish manufactory Guldsmedsaktiebolaget from Stockholm, famous for producing top-tier luxury items. • Kattfot (Three Crowns in an oval) – The official Swedish national control mark applied to high-quality luxury wares. • NS (Nysilver) – The Swedish premium designation for high-grade silver plate. It guarantees a thick, highly durable layer of pure silver electroplated onto a solid alpaca (nickel silver) base. • S & G – The hallmark of the prestigious jewelry salon / retailer where the item was originally purchased. Condition: Very good antique condition. The thick exterior silver plating retains a beautiful, high-polished shine. The original interior gilding (vermeil) is preserved in excellent state. The vessel is 100% complete, structurally stable, with no dents, deep scratches, or cracks, showing only a natural, noble patina. A magnificent, stately decorative piece for an elegant dining table or an antique display cabinet, perfect for discerning connoisseurs of historical Swedish silversmithing. Dimensions: • Total height (including lid): 26 cm • Total width (handle to handle): 20.5 cm * Weight 480 g __________________________________________________ Elegancka, luksusowa cukiernica wazowa (w formie klasycznej urny/szw. sockerurna). Obrzeża naczynia zdobi precyzyjne perełkowanie, a dolną część misy eleganckie kanelowanie (puklowanie). Naczynie zachowało komplet oryginalnych, państwowych i rzemieślniczych oznaczeń (punc), potwierdzających jego autentyczność oraz klasę: - GAB – znak renomowanej szwedzkiej manufaktury Guldsmedsaktiebolaget ze Sztokholmu, słynącej z wyrobów najwyższej klasy. - Kattfot (trzy korony w owalu) – oficjalny, państwowy szwedzki znak kontrolny dla wyrobów luksusowych. - NS (Nysilver) – szwedzkie oznaczenie klasy plateru premium. Oznacza grubą, odporną na wycieranie powłokę czystego srebra naniesioną galwanicznie na solidną alpakę. - S & G – punca prestiżowego salonu jubilerskiego / dystrybutora, w którym przedmiot został pierwotnie zakupiony. Stan zachowania: Bardzo dobry, antykwaryczny.
