Seiko - Chronograph - Ohne mindestpreis - 8T63-00D0 - Herren - 2010–2020
Seiko quartz chronograph, calibre 8T63, reference 8T63-00D0, running – navy sunray dial with silver hands and markers, 60-minute, small-seconds and 24-hour registers, date at 4.30, tachymeter bezel, 10 bar, on its original Seiko steel bracelet.
[IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ] The bracelet is short and cannot be made longer. As linked it fits a wrist of approximately 150 to 155 mm, and no spare links are included, so it will not fit a larger wrist without sourcing additional links. Please check your wrist size before bidding.
PLEASE NOTE: the watch shows more wear than its age might suggest. The steel surfaces – the tachymeter bezel, the polished flanks of the case, the bracelet links and the clasp cover – carry fine scratches and hairlines throughout, which dull the bezel in places; there are no dents, chips or corrosion, and this is described under Condition below. The code AL22301 in the seller's own title is not engraved anywhere on the watch – it is the seller's stock number; the serial number engraved on the caseback is 6N2763, and that is the number quoted below. No model or line name appears on the watch – the dial reads SEIKO and CHRONOGRAPH only – so none is claimed here. The code printed at the foot of the dial, 8T63-00E0, differs from the case code 8T63-00D0 engraved on the caseback: on Seiko watches the dial code identifies the dial and the case code identifies the case, so the two are not expected to match and the difference is not a sign of a replaced part. The caseback is marked WATER RESISTANT 10 BAR, but the gaskets have never been tested or replaced, so the water resistance is not guaranteed and the watch should be kept away from water. The crystal is not marked as sapphire anywhere, so no claim is made about its material. The chronograph hands sit correctly at zero, but the start, stop and reset functions have not been operated. The case diameter has been measured with a caliper at 40 mm. The lug width has not yet been measured and is given below as an approximation.
Overview
A Seiko quartz chronograph on the 8T63 calibre in stainless steel, with a fixed tachymeter bezel and a navy sunray dial that reads as a deep navy face-on and flares to a brighter blue where the light crosses the radial brushing. The dial carries SEIKO and CHRONOGRAPH below 12 and three registers: a 60-minute counter at 10, the running seconds at 6 and a 24-hour indicator at 2, all with silver hands. The hour markers are applied polished silver batons, doubled at 12, and the silver hour and minute hands carry white luminous inlays; the central chronograph seconds hand reads against a 1/5-second track at the edge of the dial. The date sits at the 4.30 position, white on black. The solid screw-down caseback is engraved with the case code and the serial number, and the bracelet is the original Seiko three-row bracelet with SEIKO on the clasp.

- Weight: 106.1 g
- Included accessories: none
Condition
Very good, with minor signs of wear.
- Dial: excellent. No stains, no crazing, no discolouration and no lifting of the markers were found under magnification, and the printing and the sunray finish are crisp. The luminous inlays are complete.
- Markers: all present, firmly seated and free of corrosion.
- Crystal: no scratches, chips or cracks were found.
- Hands: all six straight and clean, with no corrosion.
- Case and bezel: fine scratches and hairlines across the tachymeter bezel, heaviest around the 65-to-75, 90-to-100 and 300-to-400 graduations, which dull the surface in those areas without affecting the legibility of the scale; hairlines on the polished flanks of the case with one short line near the 8 o'clock side. No dents, no chips and no distortion.
- Caseback: fine scratches across the brushed finish from normal wear. The engraving is clear.
- Crown and pushers: intact and correctly seated, with no chips or deformation.
- Corrosion: no rust and no green corrosion were found anywhere on the watch.
- Bracelet and clasp: no broken or missing links and no rust. Fine scratches across all of the links and numerous hairlines on the clasp cover from normal wear; the SEIKO engraving on the clasp remains sharp. The clasp closes and latches correctly. Stretch could not be assessed from the photographs.
Working order
The watch is running. The small seconds hand at 6 o'clock was checked against the timestamps of four photographs spanning 16 seconds: over that interval it advanced by about 14 seconds, in step with the elapsed time to within the accuracy of reading a hand position from an angled photograph, with no interruption. The central chronograph seconds hand and the 60-minute hand sit at zero in every frame, and the 24-hour hand agrees with the time shown. The chronograph start, stop and reset functions, the date changeover, the timekeeping accuracy and the water resistance have not been tested with equipment, and the battery's remaining life is unknown. Please consider this a used quartz watch; the battery is a consumable part and may need replacing at some point.
Included
Watch and bracelet only. No box, papers, warranty card, spare links or other accessories.
