Kruzifix - Messing - 1960-1970 - 44 cm

Large Italian Vintage Brass Altar Crucifix - 44 cm - Baroque Style - Mid-20th Century An impressive and heavy vintage altar crucifix, finely crafted in Italy during the second half of the 20th century. This substantial piece is made of cast solid brass, featuring rich ornamental details and high-relief execution. Key Features & Specifications: - Height: Approximately 44 cm (an imposing, larger-than-usual altar size) - Material: Solid cast brass (ottone) - Origin: Italy - Period: Circa 1960–1980 - Style: Baroque / Neo-Classical revival, with stylized acanthus leaf / palmette details on the base and decorative lily-shaped terminations on the cross. - Construction: Hollow-back cross design (typical sand-casting technique), with the original brass fastening screw securing the Corpus Christi. The base is heavy and robust, ensuring excellent stability. In good vintage condition with an authentic, untouched aged patina. There are natural bright highlights on the raised areas due to historical polishing and gentle handling. Minor signs of oxidation (verdigris) are visible under the base and near the feet, confirming its age and alloy authenticity (can be cleaned if desired, but left original to preserve the vintage charm). No structural damage or repairs. This magnificent piece is perfect for religious use, private chapels, or as a striking decorative element in a vintage interior. Dimensions : 44 cm × 18.3 cm × 13.5 cm The product will be professionally packed and sent safely to your address by local post. The pictures of the product are made with the highest possible resolution, precisely to capture possible small defects (small scratches, stains, defect), the pictures are part of the product description.
