Art Deco Toilettengarnitur (3) - Brockwitz glasfabrik - Glas, Rosaline glass - Art Deco

Brockwitz Art Deco Rosaline Glass Vanity Set – Model 3400, 1930s This stunning Rosaline glass vanity set from Brockwitz Glasfabrik is a rare and elegant example of 1930s Art Deco design. Identified in the original 1936 catalog as Toilettengarnitur 3400, this set includes three iconic pieces: the geometric perfume bottle (Flakon), the two-piece water bottle with tumbler (Sturzflasche), and the pomade jar (Pastadose). Crafted in delicately tinted pink Rosaline glass, the set features the characteristic sharp angles, faceted surfaces, and modernist symmetry that define the Art Deco movement. Both decorative and functional, these pieces are beautifully preserved and ideal for collectors or as a statement display on any vintage dressing table. Brockwitz was a renowned German glass manufacturer established in 1903 in the town of Brockwitz, near Dresden. The company gained prominence for its exquisite pressed glassware, particularly during the early to mid-20th century. Starting around 1915, Brockwitz produced a diverse range of Carnival Glass, celebrated for its vibrant iridescent finishes and intricate patterns. In the 1930s and 1940s, the company expanded its repertoire to include remarkable Art Deco pieces, many of which were featured in their extensive 1941 catalog. These designs often showcased geometric motifs, stylized flora and fauna, and innovative forms that captured the essence of the Art Deco movement. Notable examples include the “Parakeet” bird vase and the “Serpent” handled centerpiece bowl. Today, Brockwitz glassware remains highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts, admired for its artistic craftsmanship and historical significance.
