Zhu Chen

Mortier ancien en fonte (fer), décoré en relief d’un chérubin, présent sur les deux côtés, accompagné de son pilon d’époque. Le décor est intégré à la fonte, réalisé en une seule pièce lors du moulage, et non ajouté ultérieurement.
Ce type de mortier était traditionnellement utilisé dans les pharmacies, officines ou cuisines anciennes, avant de devenir un objet apprécié pour la collection et la décoration intérieure. Le motif du chérubin, caractéristique de la fin du XIXe siècle, s’inscrit dans un style néoclassique / historiciste.

La pièce présente une patine ancienne homogène, cohérente avec son âge et son usage. L’ensemble est massif, stable et bien équilibré, témoignant d’une fabrication soignée.
