Constance Rousseau

A fantastic Swedish Art Deco serving bowl, produced in the Swedish Grace period (c. 1920s–1940s) by GAB (Guldsmedsaktiebolaget) that was active between 1867, and 1964 in Stockholm, Sweden. 

​The bowl is made of brass and features a gold-washed interior, designed to prevent corrosion and add a luxurious contrast. 
The exterior is made in a classic Art Deco relief pattern with rhythmic vertical fluting. 
Itcomes with its original glass insert, which features a scalloped and notched rim.

​Originally intended as a high-end centerpiece for serving fruits, bonbons, side dishes, or desserts, it is big and unique.

Condition:
​The item is in great vintage condition with a beautiful patina. There is light wear to the silver plating and one small, minor chip to the glass - nothing serious, see close-up photo. Looks great.
