Dit is een antieke Franse zoutgeglazuurde steengoed ( gres ) kruik, daterend  uit de late 18e eeuw, maar mogelijk iets vroeger. Dergelijke kruiken werden doorgaans gebruikt voor het bewaren van vloeistoffen zoals water, jenever of olijfolie. 

Kenmerken

Afmeting: 32.1 cm hoog / 20.1 cm diameter 

Materiaal: De kruik is gemaakt van steengoed, een duurzaam type aardewerk.

Glazuurtechniek: Het oppervlak heeft een karakteristiek zoutglazuur. Dit proces creëert een glanzende, doorschijnende textuur die vaak kleine onregelmatigheden vertoont, lijkend op sinaasappelschil.

Uiterlijk: De kruik heeft een rustieke, rustieke uitstraling met natuurlijke verouderingstekenen. De rode blos en de donkere vlek zijn unieke kenmerken die tijdens het bakproces in de oven zijn ontstaan en bijdragen aan het authentieke, primitieve karakter van het stuk.

Ontwerp: Het heeft een traditionele eivormige (ovoïde) vorm met een uitlopende tuit en een eenvoudig, aangehecht handvat.
