PowerMac G4 1500MHZ (1.5 GHz) for PowerPC architecture enthusiasts, fans of quality vintage hardware, and hackers!
This system served as a testbed for versions of PPC Linux.
In original box.
The matching monitor is sold separately.
Main features:
- G4 processor, 1.5 GHz – Upgrade from the original G4 400MHz processor (this is included in the bundle)
- PC-133 RAM: 1.5GB (3x 512MB)
- 3 Hard drives:
a) 20GB with Ubuntu 10.04 PowerPC
b) 80GB with Lubuntu 16.04 PowerPC
c) 40GB with MacOS X 10.4.11
- In place of the original CD/DVD drive, an SD card reader allows for easy interchangeability between operating systems (several microSD cards are included with Lubuntu 12.04, Lubuntu 14.04, Kubuntu 10.04, Ubuntu 16.04 Mate, and MacOS X 10.4 installed respectively).
- System: MacOS X 10.4.11 and Ubuntu 10.04 PPC
- Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce FX5200 DDR 256Mb (the original ATI 128 Rage Pro card is also included)
